Bangladesh’s decision to refuse playing Test matches in Pakistan has surprised many given the trouble-free Sri Lanka tour of Pakistan held last month. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) claimed it had received permission from its government to take part in only the T20Is in Pakistan and not the Tests.
Perplexed by this decision, cricketer-turned-commentator Danny Morrison also called on the Bangladesh team to make the trip to Pakistan for the Tests. Reacting to the statement, Morrison felt there was no logic to Bangladesh’s refusal.
The former New Zealand pacer himself has been a regular visitor to Pakistan and most recently, was part of the commentary panel during the historic Pakistan-Sri Lanka Tests. He is expected to be a member of the commentary group in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) too.
