Australia’s summer dominance overpowered India’s home dominance at Wankhede as the visitors thrashed India by 10 wickets. This was Australia’s biggest win over India as Aaron Finch and David Warner starred in a record-breaking run-chase.
Finch and Warner’s opening partnership (258) is the largest partnership for any wicket against India. Australian openers ended the game single-handedly without giving India any sniff in the game. Finch scored an unbeaten 110 while Warner stayed not out on 128.
David Warner’s outstanding form continues to prevail while Finch’s incredible outings in India also increased. It is the fifth time that both Australian openers have scored a century in the same game and the first time that the Kangaroos have defeated India by 10 wickets. Australia’s record-breaking start against India gave them a 1-0 lead in the 3-match ODI series.
