South Africa’s assistant coach Enoch Nkwe has set high hopes with the Proteas batsman Temba Bavuma. Enoch feels that Bavuma has the tendency to become South Africa’s Test captain in the future. It seems a long way for someone who has been out of form and averaging only 19.4 in the year 2019.
Bavuma, being the only Black batsman in the South African Test side, has been the flagbearer and leaders for the millions. Enoch said that the environment does not have any effect on him, he has been unlucky in terms of his form and numbers.
“Having worked with him in the last year-and-a-half, he has got the qualities, there's no question around that. I wouldn't be surprised if, after Faf, he takes over. That will be great for South African cricket.", Nkwe said. Bavuma has played 39 Test matches for South Africa in which he averages 31.24.
