All teams are gearing up to showcase their skills at the upcoming Under-19 World Cup in South Africa. Amidst the hype surrounding the biggest stage for the sporting heroes of the future, Pakistan U19 have dominated both of their warm-up games, signaling positive signs for the team’s prospects in the tournament.
Rohail Nazir-captain of Pakistan U19 achieved a four-wicket win over their Sri Lankan counterparts at Pretoria following their thumping triumph against Nigeria in the previous game. Left-arm pacer Tahir Hussain starred with the ball by snaring four wickets and helped his team bundled out the opposition for just 215.
In the batting department, Fahad Munir accumulated a half-century while Mohammad Haris hit a breezy 43 from 36 deliveries. Pakistan chased down the paltry target with 26 balls to spare. They will now begin their World Cup campaign against Scotland on January 19.
