On the tour of New Zealand, England played competitive cricket and seeing two quality sides battling hard for victory enthralled the cricket pundits. However, an unfortunate incident happened during the final day of the first Test match as a man racially abused rising pace sensation of England Jofra Archer.
The matter was taken very seriously by the New Zealand Cricket Board. In the recent development, the 28-year old man has been handled a ban of 2 years in which he cannot attend any domestic or International fixtures in New Zealand.
Earlier, police spoke to the man, who admitted the responsibility of the abuse, and issued a verbal warning to refrain from using such language. However, New Zealand Cricket contacted the person to inform him of his ban which is going to last till 2022.
With this step, New Zealand has again shown their commitment of being strict about the rules. Spokesman of Kiwis, Anthony Crummy once again apologized to Jofra and said that New Zealand will never bear such racial slurs.
