Nepal’s superstar leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has changed his loyalty for the upcoming edition of the Everest Premier League (EPL). The 19-year-old has moved to Kathmandu Kings from the Lalitpur Patriots for the tournament.
Surprisingly, the Patriots chose to release the leg-spin sensation with Kathmandu making the acquisition of his services. Lamichhane’s inclusion in the Kings lineup puts them as forthright contenders to win the EPL title this time around, having finished on second place in the previous season.
Lamichhane’s dexterous spin bowling abilities have made him a globetrotter as he is currently engaged in the Big Bash League (BBL) for Melbourne Stars. The teenager has also had the opportunity to become the first Nepal player to feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
