Without a shadow of doubt, Indian skipper Virat Kohli is one of the finest cricketers of the modern day cricket. Having an average of 54.97 in 84 Tests, 59.61 in 243 ODIs and 52.72 in 78 T20Is, he rarely fails to perform. On top of that, his ability to lead the unit with passion brings a lot of energy to the table.
Reviewing his prowess, the head coach of India, Ravi Shastri recently compared the passion of Virat Kohli with former Pakistani icon Imran Khan. The 57-year old said that Kohli reminds him of Imran because of his passion and will to win even when pushed against the wall. Shastri particularly mentioned the example of 1992 World Cup as Pakistan defeated all odds to win the mega-event under the talismanic leadership of Imran Khan.
He also said that Kohli is a normal guy, who changes into a different character once he steps on a cricket ground. It comes as a massive compliment for the Indian run machine as Imran Khan is counted amongst the best ever cricketers ever to grace the International arena.
