After enthralling fans with the last four seasons of the highly admired Pakistan Super League (PSL), the fifth edition is set to surge the excitement factor as all the matches are scheduled to be played in Pakistan. The iconic city of Lahore would host 14 games followed by 9 contests by Karachi, 8 matches by Rawalpindi and 3 battles by Multan.
While Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi already tasted International cricket, this would be the first time of Multan to experience competitive cricket in the last decade or so. For this to happen, the renovation work at the stadium has already been completed, which costed a total of approximately Rs 330 million.
The enclosures of the stadium have been ameliorated along with the installation of increased facilities in the dressing room. To counter security concerns, walls around the stadium have been heightened. Moreover, the grass has been regrown to provide lightning fast outfield to the mouth-watering clashes of the PSL 2020. Multan would host contests of home team against Peshawar, Karachi and defending champions Quetta.
