Senior pacer Mohammad Amir penned a controversial tweet after being dropped from the national squad for the T20Is against Bangladesh. Amir claimed to being unfairly punished for taking a premature retirement from Test cricket.
Just minutes after making the comment on the social media platform, Amir proceeded to delete the tweet since it gained a lot of traction among fans. By linking his absence from the squad with the decision to quit Test cricket, Amir could possibly face repercussions for his dissent against the selection committee’s policies.
He then wrote a more optimistic message where he hoped to make a stronger comeback to international cricket. Amir recently wreaked havoc in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) where he took a six-wicket haul in the competition.
