India mourns the death of a special cricket fan ‘Charulata Patel’

Throughout the course of history, the iconic game of cricket witnessed a plethora of fans who made their name in the cricketing world. The highly celebrated ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament also saw a special fan coming from India who went by the name of Charulata Patel.

During India’s clash against Bangladesh, the wheelchair bound fan was spotted cheering for India while celebrating every single successful moment of the men in blue by waving their flag. After the game, batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma paid her a visit – a memory fans will cherish forever.

However, Indian cricket has recently been jolted as it lost their special fan. Without a shadow of doubt, the death of Charulata blew a wave of sadness in the country. As a result, social media in India was filled with messages for her as fans believe that her passion for the game and her country was unmatched. Like others, The Bharat Army, a group of supporter of the Indian team, as well as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also paid tribute to Charulata by sharing kind words for her.
