After a lot of negotiations, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finally managed to convince Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to tour the country. The cricketing action between the two nations would comprise of two Tests, three T20Is and a solitary ODI match which will eventually take place in three phases.
Now the focus shifts back to cricket as the Test series would present Pakistan an opportunity to rise in the points table of the ICC World Test Championship. Moreover, white-ball cricket would allow the men in green to assess their resources before the commencement of the T20 World Cup in Australia.
Ahead of the tour, former Pakistan paceman Shoaib Akhtar has come forward to share his two cents on the forthcoming cricket series. The 44-year old warned the green team against taking Bangladesh lightly. He said that Bangladesh now contains experience as well as the quality to beat top sides of the cricketing world. For this reason, he urged Pakistan team to be at the top of their game to record an impressive show against Bangladesh.
