Kagiso Rabada has been a handed a one-match suspension after the accumulation of his demerit points to four that warrants a ban for one game. Rabada was sanctioned for his aggressive celebration following the dismissal of England skipper Joe Root in the ongoing third Test, which was interpreted by the ICC as provocative.
Talking about the contentious incident, Caribbean great Ian Bishop agreed with the ban imposed by ICC and cautioned Rabada against going over the top with his emotions. The 52-year-old commentator felt Rabada needed to control his passion and instead idolize the likes of Dale Steyn, who put in animated celebrations but away from the personal space of the opposing batsman.
"I have a lot of time for Rabada. I think he's a champion bowler. But after he's dismissed someone, celebrate with your teammates. Stay away from the batsman's space”- Bishop said.
