Former Pakistan skipper Salman Butt has continually been ignored for selection for the national squad following his stellar return to the domestic circuit. Recently, the ex-convict of the ignominious spot-fixing scandal took to Twitter to take a sly dig at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after Kamran Akmal’s snub from the T20I squad announced for the Bangladesh series.
Akmal, who has been one of the top performers in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) since the inception of the tournament, was once again not picked by the selectors following which he penned a tweet expressing his disappointment at the criteria of selection.
In reply to Akmal’s complaints, Butt sarcastically said he should get used to being snubbed by the selectors now. Butt also told the senior wicketkeeper-batsman to keep his standards and keep on delivering the goods at the competitive level.
