Amad Butt has finally made his way into Pakistan’s T20I squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh following his stellar all-round performances in the domestic circuit. The right-hander has developed a fearsome reputation with the bat and is known as a useful customer with the ball in hand.
Recently talking about his cricketing idols, the 24-year-old claimed Andrew Flintoff and Jacques Kallis inspired him to take up the role of the all-rounder and he aspires to reach their levels of excellence in his career. It remains to be seen whether Amad makes the cut for the playing XI in the T20Is but he stated that he had improved as a cricketer over the past few years.
“I don’t want myself to be labeled if my team demands me to perform with the bat or with the ball, I have to deliver and this is what an all-rounder do. I was called up in the senior team previously but didn’t play, personally I feel it was good for me as now I have worked on my problems after the identification” - Amad further added.
