Fakhar Zaman’s shoddy batting shows combined with impressive outings of Ahsan Ali in the domestic circuit as well as in Pakistan Super League (PSL) witnessed the rising batting sensation grabbing a place in the national team of Pakistan for the three-game T20I series against Bangladesh.
After mustering 949 runs in 41 T20s at 23.72, Ahsan is eager to make his International debut and bat alongside the prolific batsman Babar Azam. Recently, Ahsan interacted with media as he shared his excitement to play for his country and bat with Pakistan’s T20I skipper Babar Azam.
Ahsan said that Babar is one of the top batters of modern day cricket and batting with him is an experience he cannot wait to gain. He added that he’d try to learn as much as he can from Babar. Moreover, the 26-year old cricketer has long term goals to cement his place in the national team and represent Pakistan in the forthcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.
