For the upcoming three-game T20I series against Pakistan in Lahore, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has included few fresh faces in the team. One of them is the skillful top-order batsman Najmul Hossain Shanto who impressed in the recently concluded Bangabandhu Premier League, scoring 308 runs in 11 games by managing an average of 34.22 and a strike-rate of 143.92.
Recently, the budding batting sensation reflected on the forthcoming challenges as he sits eager and confident to do well against the top-ranked T20I team. Najmul highlighted how the start of the Bangladesh’s prestigious T20 tournament wasn’t ideal as he failed to score, but the later stages saw the emergence of him in which he scored a century and a half-century in crucial games.
With these shows, the confidence of the 21-year old cricketer surged as he believes that he can score big against a quality side like Pakistan. Najmul also added that he would try to make the most of his opportunity to become a permanent member of Bangladesh’s national team.
