Former Pakistan Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has criticized the exclusion of Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir from the T20I series against Bangladesh. The former Pakistani cricketer feels that Pakistan should utilize the vast experience of Amir and Wahab in the shortest format of the game.
It has been in the debate that the veteran fast bowlers are left out as they opted to stay away from the Test format. Talking about this, Inzamam said “Excluding them because of Test cricket is not the right way to deal with this matter because both of them are seniors and the selectors should take advantage of them as the T20 World Cup is near”.
Moreover, Inzamam-ul-Haq also feels that the too many changes in a same format came prove to be injurious for Pakistan cricket team, who has not done well in the T20I format in the recent times. Pakistan will take on Bangladesh in a 3-match T20I series starting from 24th January 2020.
