The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will conduct the bowling test of former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez on January 28. Hafeez was suspended by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) last year for an illegal bowling action.
Having been recalled into the Pakistan side for the first time since the conclusion of the ICC World Cup 2019, Hafeez will give the test on January 28 at LUMS University in Lahore after the Bangladesh T20I series. Meanwhile, the 39-year-old will continue to play in the team as a specialist batsman.
Hafeez has frequently been found guilty of exceeding the 15-degree limit allowed for bowling actions. He got reported ECB’s Review Committee back in August 2019 during Vitality Blast while representing Middlesex. Hafeez has also served a one-year suspension from bowling in international cricket in the past.
