New Zealand’s spearhead fast bowler Tim Southee is aiming to put his dismal performances of the recent past behind and look forward to a positive start in the tour against India. The veteran fast bowler, who did not have an outstanding Ashes series, feels that the series against India will be a big opportunity for him to resurge things.
Southee said that it is always disappointing to be dropped from the side for which you dream to play. "It's disappointing. You're gutted every time you're left out. It's an absolute dream to play for New Zealand and every time you do miss out it hurts, but you've got to respect the decisions and try to help out and give back to the team, even when you're not playing"- he said in a recent interview.
India has started a long tour of 5 T20I matches, 3 ODIs, and 2 Test matches against New Zealand. Southee is all geared up for producing spells that New Zealand wants him to produce against a top-quality side.
