Haris Rauf, the paceman of Pakistan, is one of the most exciting cricketing stories of the country. Getting discovered from the highly admired Player Development Program (PDP) of Lahore Qalandars, the exuberant paceman has refused to look back by recording a number of sturdy bowling outings.
It was particularly the 2019 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) where Haris showed his true colors by becoming the joint-highest wicket-taker for Lahore along with the Nepalese spin wizard Sandeep Lamichhane. Dismissing 11 batters, Haris averaged a shade under 25 while managing a bowling economy of 7.41.
This helped him to fetch a Big Bash League (BBL) contract where he garnered massive admiration by claiming 16 wickets in 7 games at 11.56 for Melbourne Stars. With a plethora of strong shows, he got picked in the national team and former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja is extremely pleased with the progress of Haris.
Recently, the cricketer turned commentator moved to compare Haris with Jofra Archer. Ramiz said that Haris is very similar to Jofra in terms of making an impact in BBL and getting picked for the national team. Moreover, the 57-year old believes that Haris can went on to become an aggressive weapon for the boys in green.
