Quetta Gladiators have always remained one of the top performing units of the four-year history of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). However, they kept faltering in knock-outs in the first three editions. Nevertheless, Gladiators went one step ahead in the 4th season to claim glory in Pakistan’s darling T20 tournament.
Owner of the franchise Nadeem Omar was elated to see his team finally breaking the knock-out hoodoo and vowed to repeat more of the same in PSL 2020. He said that Quetta would like to keep their tradition of enthralling their fans with a high quality brand of cricket. Moreover, he also admitted an additional pressure of being the defending champions.
Sharing his views on the T20 cricket carnival, Nadeem said - “Quetta Gladiators have always played exciting cricket and would try to maintain the tradition in the 5th edition of the PSL. We have done well in previous seasons and would like to do the same. All the teams are really good so it won’t be easy to defend the title.”
