Downing Australia at their home in the ODI series 2-1, India came to New Zealand expecting a stern test in unfamiliar conditions. However, things have gone their way so far as the men in blue defeated Kiwis in the first two T20Is of the five-game series, landing themselves in a great position to win the series.
One of the concerns for the blue team is their opening batsman Rohit Sharma who mustered only 15 runs across 2 innings. Without a shadow of doubt, his back-to-back failures are a rarity. However, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra isn’t concerned as he predicted Rohit to make a grand comeback in the forthcoming T20I, scheduled to take place in Hamilton on January 29.
The cricketer turned commentator also wished to see the Hitman bludgeoning a ton in the next game to aid India win the series. Knowing India’s dominance so far and Rohit’s batting prowess, the prediction could very well get true. However, it remains to be seen how the 32-year old cricketer fares in the forthcoming contest.
