Islamabad United, after four seasons of Pakistan Super League (PSL), remains to be the most successful franchise of the 20-over competition, winning 2 of the 4 editions. With this, they continued to witness a swell in their fame as the cricketing fraternity applauded their success.
Recently, the franchise management featured in a press conference where the owner Ali Naqvi was asked about his views on Islamabad’s squad for PSL 5. Responding to the question, he said that Islamabad’s squad has the needed blend of youth and experience to excel in the fifth edition of the PSL. Moreover, he confirmed that all their foreign players have no reservations in travelling to Pakistan.
“I think there is enough depth in our squad in all the three departments of the game. Moreover, our coaching panel has the needed experience to guide us well in tough situations. I sit really pleased with all the picks we did in drafts, so now looking forward to PSL 2020,” Ali Naqvi said in a media session ahead of Pakistan’s prestigious T20 competition.
