Former England cricketer Sir Alastair Cook and the West Indian Ricky Skerritt have been added to the MCC World Cricket Committee which is due to meet in Sri Lanka in March. Cook, after retiring in 2018, continued to be part of the Essex country cricket club and has been in news since then.
Now the former cricketer along with Ricky Skerritt will take the responsibilities of the MCC World Cricket Committee following their deliberations in March. One of the main agendas of the meeting will be to discuss the 4-Day Test matches.
The panel of the meeting will be chaired by Mike Gatting and it also includes BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly, ex-New Zealand, Australia, and Sri Lanka captains Brendon McCullum, Ricky Ponting, and Kumar Sangakkara and Suzie Bates.
