Melbourne Stars skipper Glenn Maxwell believes Pakistan pace sensation Haris Rauf has a lot to offer in his side’s final stages of the Big Bash League (BBL). Rauf has hogged the limelight for his sizzling pace bowling heroics ever since he made his BBL debut.
The right-arm speedster claimed his maiden hat-trick in the format earlier this season against Sydney Thunder and followed it up fiery spells that catapulted him into the Pakistan national side. Now that table-toppers Stars have progressed to the business end of the competition, Maxwell thinks Rauf will have a crucial role to play in the upcoming matches. He touted the youngster as one formidable bowler, who would only get better with experience.
“He’s an absolute entertainment machine and people love coming to watch that. The story of him coming from club cricket into Pakistan eyes was absolutely outstanding, and was the story of the BBL tournament for me” - Maxwell.
