West Indies’ legend Chris Gayle will turn out for the Pokhara Rhinos in the upcoming season of the Everest Premier League (EPL), Nepal’s premier domestic T20 tournament. Gayle will be joined by Hashim Amla in the Rhinos’ lineup to form a star-studded overseas roster for the franchise.
The hard-hitting Caribbean batsman boasts the reputation of smacking towering sixes at will and his inclusion is expected to boost the Rhinos, who finished last in the previous edition of the EPL. With a plethora of T20 experience under his belt, Gayle’s addition to EPL will give Nepal cricket the exposure they desperately require to progress in the international arena.
"I will be visiting Nepal for the biggest sporting event, the Everest Premier League. Come and support my team Pokhara Rhinos and be part of a magnificent cricket fiesta”- Gayle said in the video message uploaded on Twitter.
