After hosting Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Pakistan is all set to witness the visit of Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) to Pakistan. The squad contains extremely talented cricketers led by the legendary former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara.
One of the players of this team includes the name of ex-South African all-rounder Roelof van der Merwe who now plays for Netherlands. Recently, the 35-year old cricketer took to Twitter to share his excitement about the forthcoming trip to Pakistan. This will be his first visit to Pakistan and he highlighted that he would be pleased to catch up with cricketers like Babar Azam, Imad Wasim, Kamran Akmal and Wasim Akram.
On this tour of Pakistan, MCC will play a series of matches in Lahore including the contests against Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is sanguine about a good and successful tour to portray a soft image of the country with which they can convince other teams to visit Pakistan.
