Ever since his installment as the head coach and chief selector of Pakistan team, former skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has found himself in a pool of criticism. Many moved forward to disapprove his selection policies and the recent man to enter the club is the former wicket-keeper batsman Moin Khan.
Pakistan opted for fresh blood while playing against Australia in their backyard – a decision which saw the boys in green losing the three-game T20I series 2-0. However, they went back to relying on the prowess of senior players against Bangladesh to boss the series, which was played in Lahore.
The 48-year old, while sharing his two cents, said that this is extremely absurd selection criteria as we did exactly opposite to what should have been done. Moin also urged the authorities to shred the fear of losing by grooming the youngsters.
“In a tougher series, you dropped the seniors and sent youngsters to face the music. While facing a less competitive team, you recalled the seniors instead of giving confidence and grooming the young guns. This is beyond logic from Pakistan’s selection committee”- said by Moin Khan while sharing his views on recent selections.
