Pakistan vanquished over Afghanistan in the Quarter-Final of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup and made it to the semi-finals of the mega-event. The men in green displayed a clinical performance in all 3 departments by restricting Afghanistan’s team at a score of just 189 runs and chasing the target comprehensively.
Mohammad Huraira was the star of the show for Pakistan as he scored a remarkable 64 of just 76 balls. Mohammad Amir Khan also picked up 3 crucial wickets for the team. Pakistan’s opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq applauded the young players on Twitter. He advised them to never give up and keep shining in order to succeed.
Imam himself played for Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket team back in 2014. His performances at the Under-19 level were impeccable for Pakistan and that gained him a spot in Pakistan’s men team. Since then, he has been a prolific opener for Pakistan in the limited-overs cricket.
