England’s all-rounder Moeen Ali made an appearance for England in the practice game against Cricket South Africa Invitation XI at Paarl. Moeen was seen in the English colors after a long break. He was dropped from the England’s side at the conclusion of 1st Ashes Test courtesy his poor performance.
Moeen came back with a new zest behind him and delivered a tidy spell against Cricket South Africa Invitation XI. Moeen bowled only 5 overs but gave away only 16 runs. However, he decided not to bat in the practice game and gave chance to the other players.
Batting first England put up a total of 240 runs on the board, Jason Roy was the top-scorer with a magnificent century. Stephen Tait was the pick of the bowlers from the CSA XI with 2 wickets to his name. In reply, CSA XI was bowled out for just 163 runs courtesy some great bowling from England’s fast bowling line-up and assistance from the spinners.
