Rashid Latif calls Wasim Akram the ‘bowler of two centuries’

Wasim Akram, former Pakistan skipper, comes across as an absolute legend of the game. Playing a total of 104 Tests and 356 ODIs, he claimed 414 and 502 wickets respectively. Not only that, he was extremely handy batsman and scored 6500 International runs. However, he was largely known for his bowling – an ability which fetched him the title of ‘Sultan of Swing’.

The 53-year would again be found in action in Bushfire Bash at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on February 8. Recently, Cricket Australia’s twitter handle revisited Wasim’s prowess, demanding him to produce magic yet again in Australia. Wasim, jokingly, accepted the challenge.

Former Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Rashid Latif became a part of this loop as he shared his two cents on the ability of Wasim Akram. The 51-year old believes that Wasim was the best ever bowler to play the game in the last two centuries. Calling him a ‘genius’, Rashid Latif said that there was no better bowler than Wasim as his ability to make the ball talk remained unmatched.
