Former Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag often finds himself sharing controversial opinions. Recently, he did more of the same as he accused the ex-Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni of portraying poor communication with his players.
During the tri-series in Australia in 2012, Dhoni rotated Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag at the top of the order. Referring to that series, the cricketer turned expert said that the wicket-keeper batsman showed poor communication as he talked in media about him having issues with fielding efforts of the aforementioned players, but Dhoni never discussed it in the team meetings. It remains to be seen how Dhoni responds to these allegations as he is counted among the best leaders ever to play the game.
“When MS Dhoni said in Australia that top three are slow fielders, we were never asked or consulted. We got to know from the media. He said all that at the press conference, but not at the team meeting that we are slow fielders”- said by Sehwag while highlighting Dhoni’s communication issues.
