Flamboyant Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh reigns as one of the most iconic cricketers to don the blue jersey. The 2011 World Cup player of the tournament stepped away from international cricket after an illustrious career where he represented India in 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20Is.
Amidst his playing career, Yuvraj met a major obstacle in the form of a battle with cancer that threatened his wellbeing. He was able to recover from the menacing ailment and turned out for India in several more international games. Reflecting back on the tough time involving his fight with cancer, Yuvraj claimed to have received tons of supportive messages from his Pakistani fans, which raised his spirits.
"I remember when I was ill, I got a lot of love from Pakistani fans. I got love from Indian fans also but I got the same from Pakistan and I would like to thank fans for that”- he stated.
