All is not well for the Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who despite being in the squad, failed to play even a single game of the recently concluded T20I series against New Zealand. Moreover, Lokesh Rahul’s safe glove-work combined with his batting prowess isn’t giving any encouraging sign to Pant.
Reflecting on this situation, former Indian skipper Kapil Dev moved forward to share a piece of advice for the budding sensation of the Indian cricket. The iconic figure of the cricketing world said that Pant needs to be patient and shouldn’t look too far ahead. He highlighted the example of another ex-Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar who always urged players to pick smaller targets to achieve a major objective.
The 61-year old contains immense belief in the ability of Pant for which he backed him to become a permanent feature of the men in blue. However, he also admitted that Pant only has himself to blame for the recent snub.
