Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been an entertaining journey for Karachi Kings. However, the results produced so far haven’t been ideal as the franchise failed to even play a single final in all the four seasons of the tournament.
Revamping their previous year’s squad, Karachi has recruited some big names and coupled them with efficient performers of the domestic circuit to make a strong unit for PSL-5. The team is also loaded with some rising stars and one of them is the spin master Umer Khan who also played the last season of the 6-team event for Kings.
Revisiting the high quality bowling display of Umer in PSL 2019, the Kings are extremely hopeful to see the best of the Rawalpindi born cricketer. Having 16 wickets in 12 T20 contests, Umer averages a shade under 17 with the ball. Moreover, the upcoming T20 festival will allow him to further hone and showcase his skills and grab the attention of selectors. Karachi Kings will roll into action in PSL 2020 against Peshawar Zalmi on February 21 at Karachi.
