Afghanistan spin wizard Rashid Khan has made his presence felt on the international arena owing to his consistent bowling heroics experienced across various franchise-based competitions around the globe. The 21-year-old has frequently bamboozled batsmen with his sharp variations and prodigious turn.
His latest remarkable feat occurred during the Big Bash League (BBL) fixture between Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Sixers. The Strikers’ spin bowler claimed a hat-trick while defending a low total and became the first foreign recruit to achieve this record in the history of BBL.
He dismissed James Vince, Jack Edwards and Jordan Silk in succession, exemplifying his mastery over leg-spin bowling. Recalling his special BBL hat-trick, Rashid expressed his emotions on Twitter and thanked Adam Gilchrist, Brett Lee and Andrew Symonds – all of whom were commentating on Rashid’s stunning achievement at the time it took place.
