England and South Africa are all set to wear altered pink kits on the Pink day on Sunday at Johannesburg. The 3rd ODI game on Sunday will mark as the 9th edition of Cricket South Africa’s annual Pink Day fund-raising match. Previously, only South Africa walked into the ground with the Pink attires.
The English men will also join their counter-parts in promoting the breast cancer awareness. Last time South Africa played the Pink ODI game was against Pakistan and it was the only time that the Proteas lost while wearing pink.
The game against Pakistan raised more than one million rand and the amount was donated to the breast cancer unit. England’s limited-edition kit made by New Balance will be an adapted version of their current ODI kit, in which they won the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, it will feature pink collars, cuffs and stripes across the shoulders.
