India’s flying journey in the New Zealand was finally halted as the hosts defeated visitors comprehensively in the first ODI despite chasing a daunting total of 347 runs. Indian bowlers were found getting a proper hammering from Henry Nicholls, Ross Taylor and skipper Tom Latham.
Dissecting the defeat in Hamilton, Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh moved forward to share his advice for the men in blue. The 39-year old is of the view that India should play both Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav in the next contest as playing pace is bread and butter for Kiwis. He feels that the tourists will then be able to exert the needed pressure on the Blackcaps.
“I want to see both Kuldeep and Yuzvendra playing together. The Kiwi unit will play pacers on any given day, but countering spin hasn’t been easy for them. By having two spinners, you can get those wickets in the middle overs to get into the driving seat”- Harbhajan Singh said while sharing his views on the 2nd ODI match, scheduled to be played on 8th February in Auckland.
