Former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has cautioned young cricketers to refrain from excessive usage of social media. He said falling into the trap of social media can often lead to unwanted controversies and distraction from the sport.
He also noted the fact that some of the personal chats or other intimate conversations leaked on the internet of players is illegal under the law. The constant invasion of privacy of players due to media pressure tends to take a toll on even cricketers as well according to Sarfaraz.
“Being a cricketer, you are representing your country so such things disturb you. I want to advise all the youngsters to remain away from social media. As far as some leaked chats of cricketers are concerned, it’s illegal lawfully,” the wicketkeeper-batsman told reporters recently.
