While Lahore Qalandars arguably has been the most entertaining side of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the achieved results leave a lot to be desired. The franchise kept spilling pressure moments to get crashed out all the time, finishing dead last in all the four seasons of the 20-over competition.
Recently, former Pakistan captain Younis Khan shared his wish to see Lahore winning the forthcoming season of the PSL. The 45-year old believes that this franchise works a lot for the game and deserves to get the appreciation as well as the limelight. Furthermore, he didn’t shy away from admitting that his favorite team for PSL 5 is Lahore Qalandars.
It would be interesting to see how the team responds to the wish of Younis Khan as they look like the weakest unit on paper, when compared with other franchises. However, few good days can change the fortunes of the worst performing side of PSL. Lahore will get into action in PSL 5 on February 21 by battling at their home ground against Multan.
