Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal are considered as the problematic children of Pakistan cricket. Despite carrying immense batting potential, these cricketers often landed in controversies on account of discipline issues. With this, they are usually found in a pool of criticism.
However, they recently received a pat on the back by the former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed. The 32-year old revealed that he relished the presence of both the cricketers as they are good teammates. Moreover, Sarfaraz lauded their performances and discipline in the previous season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) where these two shined to help Quetta bag their first PSL title.
“I don’t know what people think about them. Based on my experience, I can tell that they are really good teammates. I enjoyed their company both as a player and as a skipper, and therefore I share a good bond with them. I never faced any issue while playing with them” said by the veteran of 49 Tests, 116 ODIs and 58 T20Is.
