Breaking the final hoodoo, Quetta Gladiators went all the way to win the 2019 edition of the highly admired Pakistan Super League (PSL). Now, their chances for the forthcoming season of the 20-over competition too are bright as the young quicks of Quetta, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Hasnain, are in good form.
Naseem, in the Rawalpindi Test against Bangladesh, became the youngest pacer to claim a Test hat-trick. Earlier, Hasnain recorded a T20I hat-trick against Sri Lanka in Lahore. Seeing all this pleased the wicket-keeper batsman who believes that it is an encouraging sign for the title defense of Quetta in PSL 2020.
Sarfaraz admits that all the teams have strength among their ranks, but feels that his bunch contains the right blend of youth and experience, which could aid them to add another silverware to their trophy cabinet. PSL 2020 will roll into action in Karachi on February 20 with a star-studded ceremony followed by a game between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United.
