PCB dismiss Umar Akmal's controversy as 'misunderstanding'

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially closed the matter relating to Umar Akmal’s alleged misbehavior at a fitness test after concluding an inquiry on the incident. Umar had found himself embroiled in yet another controversy when it emerged he had exposed himself in frustration to his trainer while undergoing the skin-fold test.

“Where is the fat?” was the comment passed by Umar to his fitness trainer but his elder brother Kamran Akmal claimed the middle-order batsman had merely done this in mischief. The PCB has decided to not impose any sanctions on Umar following his apology offered to the board.

“After listening to all the parties involved, it was established that the incident happened due to a misunderstanding. After Umar Akmal offered his regrets for his actions, the PCB reprimanded him and also reminded him of his responsibilities as a senior cricketer”- the statement from PCB read.
