After a thrilling show against West Indies, Ireland are all set to take on the Afghanistan side in a series of three T20I games. The battle will commence with a game on March 6 followed by matches on March 8 and 10. All the contests of the series are scheduled to be played at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in India.
For this cricketing action, Cricket Ireland named a 14-man squad to challenge the prowess of Afghan unit. They have retained the entire squad which travelled to Caribbean except Mark Adair who has been left out to give him an opportunity to recover from an ankle injury. He has been replaced by the all-rounder Shane Getkate. Ireland Cricket’s governing body is confident to see their team doing well in the forthcoming T20Is. The 14-man squad consists of the following names:
