However, same cannot be said about his prowess in the domestic circuit as the elegant lefty continues to shine in this arena. Particularly in the T20 cricket, the skillful batsman is a top performer having scored over 2600 T20 runs.
In the last edition of Pakistan’s darling T20 tournament, Umar mustered 189 runs in 11 innings at an impressive average of 37.80. Recently, he was found opening up on PSL 2020 as he expressed his wish to see Peshawar winning the forthcoming T20 extravaganza of Pakistan.
The 30-year old cricketer, while reviewing the squad of Peshawar, showed immense confidence as he feels that the unit has the needed strength to win PSL 5. Particularly, he highlighted the quality of local and International cricketers. Peshawar being a strong contender for the title will get back into action in PSL on February 21 against Karachi Kings.
