With the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) not being far away, teams are rolling into action for the 20-over event. For this reason, West Indian all-rounder Darren Sammy has already started practicing in Pakistan and he is confident to aid Peshawar Zalmi add another silverware in their trophy cabinet.
Recently, the explosive all-rounder opened up on his love for Pakistan and Pakistani people. Sammy believes that a lot of it has to do with how the Peshawar Zalmi franchise embraced him and then everyone started backing him a lot. He revealed that he shares a strong bond with Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz and Hassan Ali. Moreover, Sammy believes that he is a part of Pakistan now. With his magic, Sammy will get back into action in PSL on February 21 against Karachi Kings.
“From the franchise owner down to the emerging players, Peshawar honored me a lot. The fans also embraced me. I know I had to give back the love and it started growing into something bigger. I feel that I’m a part of this country now,” said by 36-year old as he shared his love for Pakistan.
