International Cricket Council (ICC) has rejected BCCI’s plea to postpone the all-important board meeting as its date is clashing with the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League. BCCI, in order to deal with the issue, wrote to ICC and requested to shift the board meeting.
ICC turned down BCCI’s request as the accommodations, travel, and meeting space are all booked. The meeting’s most important agenda will be the 4-Day Test matches which might initiate a new regime. With BCCI’s request rejected, the president of BCCI Sourav Ganguly might think of shifting IPL dates slightly.
Remember, the meeting is scheduled on 29th March 2020 and the start of the Indian Premier League 13th edition is also reported to be placed on the same date.
