AB de Villiers, South African batsman, is one of the biggest names of the cricketing world. This is evident from him possessing a sparkling record in all the three formats of the game. Ever since his retirement from the International cricket, the rainbow nation has failed to fill his shoes.
However, things seem to move in the right direction as the head coach Mark Boucher has revealed his plan of picking the best squad for the T20 World Cup. The former wicket-keeper batsman said that egos cannot be placed over team’s requirement and any move which could benefit the team should be taken with no doubts. Boucher also said that if AB is raring to go and shows his availability for the national team then he won’t hesitate to see him back in the national colors.
Recently, South Africa went down against England in a three-match T20I series and now they are lined up to face the challenge of Australia. Considering the middle order struggles of South Africa, the batting genius seemed a natural pick, but he is absent from the T20I unit. It remains to be seen when AB gets back in the South African jersey.
