Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) medical panel have requested the Quetta Gladiators team management not to pick Naseem Shah for their first two matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The young and exciting quick is part of the Gladiators’ squad that is raring to preserve their title in the fifth season.
The PCB medical panel has insisted Naseem has not fully recovered from his rib injury sustained during the Rawalpindi Test against Bangladesh. It is deemed that if he is not rested for the initial two PSL games, his recovery process could get delayed even further.
Although the teenage bowling prodigy is practicing in the nets for Quetta, the franchise administration is taking the advice of the PCB seriously in order to avail his services for the rest of the tournament. Naseem recently turned 17 and is rated as one of the most promising pacers in the country at the moment.
