The passion and fervor surrounding the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is gaining traction as the date of its commencement draws closer. The historic occasion of the PSL 5 marks the first instance that Pakistan’s darling T20 tournament is being held entirely within the country across four venues.
To further promote the soft image of the country and convince other international teams to tour Pakistan, it has been revealed that former West Indian great Curtly Ambrose and ex-elite umpire Simon Taufel would watch certain PSL matches in the coming days.
This is Taufel and Ambrose’s first visit to Pakistan since retirement and the duo will reside in Karachi during their stay. This step is another attempt at portraying Pakistan as a safe destination for international cricketing events.
